Update 1.6: Devikins and Klever Blockchain
The next update for Devikins will be a game changing. Literally.
Since Devikins conception, Klever blockchain has been our first choice to build our game on, and now is finally the time for us to do that. To pull it off we require preparation and some changes will be necessary — changes which we will discuss below.
First of all, this update will require a full day of maintenance. To ease the impacts on players, as we perform this 24 hour maintenance the team will push the training time required for Devikids to eight days, as opposed to seven days. This is our way of compensating for this day’s loss.
The current Devikins shop (http://shop.devikins.com) will be taken down at the start of maintenance, since Devikins NFTs will not be minted on the Tron blockchain anymore. Moreover, due to the change of blockchains and the lack of ability to dynamically calculate NFT price on Klever Blockchain, the minting of new Devikins via the shop will be closed while our team studies another solution. The in-game mint will continue since it doesn’t rely on dynamic price calculation.
As a note, shop.devikins will still exist so that players can check out their Devikin online. It’s simply the purchase page that will be removed.
Players are welcome to keep their NFTs on the Tron blockchain as long as they want. However, as soon as they send them to the game, they will only be able to withdraw their NFTs to a Klever wallet. The game will work as a bridge to move the Tron NFTs to the Klever Blockchain. All NFTs that already exist in-game will be automatically converted to Klever NFTs courtesy of the Moonlabs team. That stands true for DVK as well, since DVK withdrawal from the game will require a Klever wallet address.
All new NFTs after Update 1.6 will be natively minted on Klever Blockchain, and no counterpart will exist on Tron.
With these changes, the gas fee will be decreasing from close to a dollar to a penny.
To celebrate the Klever migration, we will be running a commemorative gene for a week alongside our Thanksgiving gene event. This event will take place the week before the migration due to shop closure.
Last but not least, Update 1.6 will bring a quality of life feature for people who like to earn big with the Marketplace. Players will be able to withdraw more than their weekly quota after a large sale on the Marketplace. The inbox message with their earnings will have a Claim to External Wallet option, where players will be able to send that amount to an external wallet and bypass their weekly withdrawal limit. Keep in mind that this amount is still accounted for by their weekly limit, so if this large withdrawal takes you over the limit, you will have to wait until the reset for any further withdrawals. As an example, you have 10,000DVK/20,000DVK on your weekly limit and then do a large withdrawal of 30,000DVK. That will put you at 40,000DVK/20,000DVK, and therefore unable to perform any more withdrawals.
Finally, Devibolc was by far our most popular event. We are happy to announce that Devibolc will become a monthly event for MAD players. Once a month, MAD players will enjoy a full day (24 hours) of halved procreation fees.
Update 1.6 is expected to drop in early December, after the end of November’s event.
