The Quick Guide to Combat NFTs
Devikins has a huge update on the horizon, and with it comes a whole bunch of new items.
That means figuring out whether or not these weapons or pieces of equipment are worth throwing on your strongest Devikin, or left to the up and coming rookies.
This article will show you how to quickly identify how rare an item is, how many times it can be improved, what a weapon’s damage element is, whether or not that equipment has a chip/cartridge slot, and if the item is shiny — which means that when that item is improved you’ll be guaranteed the best outcome possible.
These items are also images that you will see externally, such as in your wallet or any NFT Marketplace. These images aren’t indicative of how weapons and equipment will be displayed in-game.
To start with, here’s a set of good old fashioned axes.
In the top left we can see that these axes have a three star rating, which depicts their maximum overall quality and how many times they can be improved. Since there’s three stars, and every item starts with one, that means these axes can be improved twice.
To the right of that we have an element symbol, which denotes the weapon’s elemental damage type. In this case, it’s Plasma. The lovely purple backsplash? That means these axes right here are Eldritch and, because of that, incredibly rare.
Here we have a grimoire, which can be quickly identified as having a two star rating, which means they can be improved a maximum of once — and the Lux element. Meanwhile, the red background shows that this grimoire is a Mythic weapon, which is quite the exciting find!
But, what about equipment?
Equipment doesn’t have an element type, but that doesn’t make it any less important. Here we have a three star pair of shiny brass undies. Simple, but most of all? Effective. And even though they’re Uncommon, judging by the silver background, it doesn’t make them any less useful.
These socks, simple as they may look, and even though they’re Common — boast the same three stars as the undies above, but they hide something special about them. In the bottom left you can spot an empty circle, which shows you that this piece of equipment has an open slot for a Chip — an attachment that can make these socks more powerful in a stat of your choosing, so long as you have the right Chip.
Here we have the ultimate in equipment. A five star Eldritch pair of undies. It can be improved a whopping four times, and, see that little sparkle in the bottom right? That means these undies are shiny, and when improved are guaranteed to always receive the best returns out of the full range of stats gained.
Shiny weapons and equipment will also have a holo-foil effect in-game, because it’s not truly shiny if it doesn’t shine, right?
