The Devikins Roadmap, and Phase 2
We know that many of you were disappointed when we had to adjust our roadmap a short while back, pushing Phase 2 release to May 2023. However, after checking over the data we collected from the Network Stress Test, the team is confident that they will be able to release Phase 2 in an Early Access form sooner, rather than later. To pull this off, we will be skipping the Open Beta period, and instead we will be releasing Phase 2 with full progression in the form of early access.
What do we mean by early access?
In early access mode, you will be using your real account, so that means that all progress will carry over to the full release. Devikin, Weapons, and Equipment will all be functional NFTs, and players will attain real DVK.
The main difference between an early access release and a full release is that some content may be missing, such as fewer PvE regions (our goal is to have three regions available in the early access release), or for the release to not fully polished — missing some elements such as UX/UI refinement, or some specific localizations and sound effects. But, the core loop is there. You will be able to level up your Devikin, battle other players in PvP, beat bosses in PvE, earn your weekly ranking and so on.
We know that many players are looking forward to jumping into combat and we absolutely share in that excitement, eagerly awaiting giving everyone the opportunity to properly enter the fray. To accommodate this demand, we will be releasing the Exciting Invitation as an in-app purchase item that will be found in the shop on Christmas day. The batch of players that purchase this will be joining the Closed Beta in early January. We intend to make this available starting at 0:00 UTC until 23:59 UTC, on December 25th — and it may be purchased for $25USD.
Also, all users who participate in the Closed Beta will receive an exclusive pet skin after release — similar to when we gave away Beta personalities.
For those who participate in the first wave, AKA those who either won their Exciting Invitation via one of our in-game events or through direct invite — they will be the lucky recipient of an exclusive sword weapon skin. This means that those in the first wave of Beta Players will receive two cosmetics.
Devikins 2.0 Early Access is tentatively scheduled to launch at the end of February.
