Season 2 has just finished, and we’re ecstatic for it to end on a high note. The Abyssal Eclipse has provided us with excellent feedback, and has been an effective way to even the playing field and make PvP even more engaging.
For Season 3 we will be implementing a brand new feature called Momentum feature, which we talked about in a previous article. With it, we are removing the energy expenditure from real time PvP, like in Season 1.
Season 3 is expected to kick off as soon as we release our next update that will, of course, bring with it the addition of Momentum. If you’re interested in reading up more about that mechanic, you can check out our previous announcement here.
Besides that, this update will also bring with a revamp for speed/turn sequence calculation. We have noticed that Hammers, which are a slow yet strong weapon, have been dominant in the meta so far. The currently existing iteration of speed calculations makes it so that speed penalties/bonuses play no difference in turn sequence. This revamp is aimed to address this issue and provide the ability to have double turns against slow weapons if you have the right combination (Such as a fast weapon like daggers, in addition to those being equipped on a high agility fighter, and any other manner of agility bonuses). Hammers will continue to be a slow, powerful weapon, but their wielders might see enemies acting much more quickly, having more turns before they can show their true, albeit unwieldy might.
Last but not least, we will be experimenting with a new reward scheme to balance out, and prevent an oversight in which players who are at the top of one division see greater rewards than someone at the bottom of a higher division. Think top of Bronze vs. last of Silver.
Season 3 and the update that comes with it will arrive at the end of July, and we will be posting a full list of patch notes and the exact time and date of the update/maintenance period as we get closer to the end of the month.
