Hello everyone! We have some very exciting news for you in today’s article.
The Moonlabs team has been hard at work for the past months on Phase 2, Devikins’ Combat mode, alongside our Phase 1 updates. We originally planned to have PvE (Story Mode), and asynchronous PvP (Player vs Player) in Phase 2. By asynchronous, we refer to one player battling another player’s team, but the opponent player is controlled by an AI (artificial intelligence) — due to the fact that the opponent may or may not be online, which is not a requirement for asynchronous PvP.
Based on how much our community is engaged and interested in the addition of PvP combat in Devikins, after some initial testing the team achieved excellent results with the testing of real time PvP, which is something originally due for release in Devikins Phase 3 (Q4 2023). In real time PvP both players are connected and linked together, which means that you’re fighting against someone else in real time. That is, of course, a far more engaging PvP mode, since players face another player not just when it comes to team composition but also in their moment to moment decision making.
We at Moonlabs are excited to announce that Phase 2 and 3 are merging into one definitive combat update: Devikins 2.0.
Moreover, as was our original plan since the beginning, Devikins will be migrating to Klever Blockchain. For you, the player, this means a much cheaper gas fee for minting and withdrawing your NFTs and tokens. And, by cheaper, we mean cheaper — moving these fees down from dollars to pennies.
Devikins’ Combat NFTs (Weapon and Equipment) will also be Klever Blockchain NFT native.
Regarding the Character NFTs, AKA your beloved Devikin, there will be a blockchain bridge. Players can keep their Devikin on Tron Blockchain as long as they wish, however, as soon as they send it to the game they will be moved to Klever Blockchain. Therefore they can only be withdrawn from the game to a Klever wallet. On the subject of DVK we plan to keep it multichain, thus it will be available on both the Tron and Klever Blockchains.
