Devikins 1.5 is just around the corner, and it will kick off the community event first mentioned in our Combat Whitepaper: the Seasonal Mint.
Seasonal Mint is a DVK Staking (DVK Storage) system inside the game itself. The Seasonal Mint is performed via the DVK Vault, a brand new feature that introduces what we call Royalty Level.
In the DVK Vault, players can stake their DVK in one of four Vaults. Each Vault has a specific countdown time until the staked DVK will be available for withdrawal/spending again.
By storing DVK players earn Royalty Points (RP). Attain enough RP and that will in turn increase a player’s Royalty Level (RL). Each Royalty Level unlocks daily rewards for the player. One of these rewards are the much awaited Void Scraps.
Void Scraps will be a medium of exchange for Combat NFTs in the upcoming Combat Update, or Phase 2. The more Void Scraps the community accumulates altogether, the higher the amount of Combat NFTs there will be available to mint during the Seasonal Mint event.
Level Up Rewards
In order to support new players and help them speed up their game, as well as offer more onboarding time, we are introducing Level Up rewards. Everytime a player levels up their account, they will get some goodies.
All veteran players will receive their retroactive rewards after leveling up their account once 1.5 is live.
In preparation for Combat, via Level Up Rewards players will be able to collect up to 4 Dummykin. A new Dummykin item will also be added to the game.
With this item players can now invoke their Dummykin in the Ritual screen, under the Invocation tab.
Claim All and Open All
One of the most requested QOL improvements is being added to 1.5 in the form of the Claim All button, which has been added to both Chores and Void Adventures.
Open All has also been added to the Container tabs. Keep in mind that Open All does what it says, and opens all containers of the same type. It does not open all containers in your inventory.
Speaking of Quality of Life improvements, we are also adding a way to check who the Top 100 players/guilds are to our competitive events. Now, players can look up in-game who the real Overlord is during our competitive training events.
Marketplace Gene Information
To prevent a scam that Update 1.4 introduced with the in-game Marketplace launch, we have improved the details section in the Marketplace to show a Devikin’s genes. This means no more fake Mutated listings in the Marketplace. To check the Devikin’s details, just tap on their portrait in the Marketplace listing.
Update 1.5 is expected to release on September 12th at 10AM PDT/5PM UTC, and as per usual the game will undergo maintenance for about an hour to deploy the new update.
