Closed Beta, and Details

Hello everyone! In this article we’re going to discuss the Closed Beta and what it entails, mainly running over submissions, the number of people taking part, and what our goals are with this test.

First off, we’re starting with a pool of 100 users of which 70 will be Early Adopters, and 30 will be taken from the broader community. To choose from our users who are not Early Adopters, we’re going to be setting up a link that will go live tomorrow (Friday, November 12th) in which you can submit your entry to the beta — of which the 30 users will be randomly selected.

Second, the beta will be split into two main points of focus.

The first of this is, of course, to stress test the game. DVK and NFTs will be virtualized, and thus progress in this sequence will not carry over to the game release. (No DVK can be deposited or withdrawn in this test).

The second point of focus will come afterwards, involving true blockchain integration. Within this period of testing, DVK and NFTs will be real and player progress will carry over into the full release of Devikins.

Our current tentative date for the closed beta is December 15th, but keep in mind that this is tentative and may be subject to change. Furthermore, if you submit your entry and aren’t picked for the closed beta, we will be doing secondary rounds of invitations after the official closed beta release, so that we’re not holding to a strict limit of 100 users for this test.

Beta support, bug reports, and feedback will be held on Discord in a private channel which we will invite users to once they’ve received their confirmation of participation. We will be informing those who have been chosen to participate on November 29th, so keep your eyes and ears peeled and get ready for the Devikins Closed Beta!
